INTRODUCTION
Last year’s AFAM fashion week, Vancouver was graced by the best of the best. African fashion showed up in ways unexpected and blew all of our collective minds. That day, strange names and brands became familiar and familiar names became even more popular for the work that they put in.
A major highlight was also the award ceremony where winners emerged solely based on nominations and votes. To the AFAM Award winners of 2020, congratulations again. 2020 awardees
African Fashion and Arts Movement Awards, also known as the AFAM Awards recognizes African Entrepreneurs who are or have positively impacted the African Fashion and Arts Movement in British Columbia. AFAM Awards is an annual celebration of the industry’s remarkable thought leaders, entrepreneurs and change makers.

As we look with radiant and expectant faces towards AFWV 2022, you, the audience, have nominated your finest talents in various categories yet again. Nominations and voting commenced on the 15th of November and closed on the 19th of December, 2021. After over a whole month of nominations and voting, winners have emerged!
